MOTORCYCLE LOADING & UNLOADING
Loading & unloading the Rampage RV Lift could not be any easier. The process is exactly the same with an RV as it is with a pickup truck. The loading platform is retracted from the carrying deck off to the rear side of an RV or out the back of a pickup. Complete, detailed instructions are provided with each lift.
The loading platform is lowered to the ground using the 2500 PD capacity winch. Because you load or unload your motorcycle or scooter from the side of the RV, you don't need to disconnect your tow vehicle. This is easy to operate.
Push or ride the motorcycle into the front wheel cradle on the loading platform. Lower the kick stand to the ground. Use 2 good-quality ratchet straps to secure the motorcycle handle bars to the loading platform cradle.
Use the power of the winch to pull the motorcycle on the loading platform up onto the carrying deck. Even the heaviest motorcycle, weighing less than 1000 pounds, will not use more than 40% of the capacity of the winch.
The winch will pull the loading deck and motorcycle to the front of the carrying deck. It is then locked into place. Additional ratchet straps are then used to secure the motorcycle to either the sides of the pickup or to the tie-down points supplied on the support structure on the RV platform.
Up to 10 locations are provided to safely secure the motorcycle.
